Breakfast with Austria, Hungary, and Palamecia! (part two)
"So Hungary, why did you come here today?" I asked as I got out the pancake mix. "Well, to be honest, I never really did go out with Iceland. I only did that because after Austria defended you, I felt kind of hurt." she replied. "I'm sorry about what I did and I honestly think you two make a cute couple!" she added. "I forgive you. It was only natural that you would feel that way after being told to be nice to a total stranger like me!" I replied, blushing a little at her compliment. As soon as breakfast was done, there was a knock at the door. "Hm? I wonder who that could be." I mumbled as I walked to the door. There, standing out in the rain, was Norway. "Norway! What happened?!" I asked as I led him inside. The country was shivering too badly to tell us right away, so I turned on the heating system. "Just another Nordic argument started by Denmark. As usual, everyone went their own seperate ways, but Iceland... Iceland...stayed with Denmark!" Norway said, sounding as though he was about to cry. " I'm sorry to hear that." I replied, trying my best to comfort the country. "If you don't think you can face the other Nordics after that, I'm sure Roderich would be glad to let you stay here for a while!" I added, hoping Roderich wouldn't mind another person in his house. "Very well, Norway. You may stay with Palamecia and myself. I'll let Berwald know at once so he can atleast check up on you from time to time." Roderich replied and went to write a letter to Sweden. "Alright! Well, first thing's first. You should get a bath and I'll wash your clothes for you." I said, pointing Norway in the direction of the bathroom. "Thank you both for your hospitality..." Norway said as he went to the bathroom to prepare for his bath. "I suppose I should get back home." Hungary said as she stood up. "Very well. Stop by again anytime!" I said as I waved goodbye.

Breakfast with Austria, Hungary, and Palamecia! (part one)
The next day, I woke up and noticed that Roderich was still asleep, so I decided to make him breakfast. When I got to the kitchen I noticed we were completely out of everything. "Great... Just great..." I said out loud before heading to the grocery store. After getting what I needed and paying, I walked outside into the Fall air. "Almost time for sweaters and snowball fights." I said, rather unhappy about the idea of Winter approaching. "It sure is." said a monotone voice behind me. I turned around to see Norway standing there, accompanied by all of the other Nordics, though something seemed a bit odd. The last I knew, Iceland and Hungary were a couple, so why wasn't she with him? Before I could think anymore on the subject, Denmark greeted me. "Hey, Palamecia!" he shouted. "Hello, Denmark. I'd gladly stay and chat, but these groceries need to get home." I replied. I waved goodbye before walking back to Roderich's house. When I got inside, I noticed Roderich still wasn't awake. Concerned, I shouted "Hey, Roderich! Rise and shine! It's 10:00 a.m.!" before starting to put away the groceries. When I turned around, Hungary was right behind me! "Eep! H-how did you get in here?!" I asked, worried about what she might do. She merely smiled and said "You left the door unlocked." before sitting down. "Y-you aren't going to hit me?" I asked, puzzled at her response. "Why would I? Do you know how long it's taken me to get over Roderich? I should be thanking you!" she said, sounding rather cheerful. Before the coversation could continue, Roderich walked into the room in his usual outfit. "Good morning, Roderich!" I said before giggling slightly. "Roderich, you left your bunny slippers on!" I said after managing to control my laughter. "Good morning, Palamecia." he said with a yawn before noticing Hungary was there. "E-elizaveta?! H-how did you get in here?!" he asked, rather shocked at her presence. "Good morning, Roderich. Mateus left the door unlocked." she replied. "Well, since you're here, why not join us for breakfast?" I said as I stood up. "And a certain Roddykins needs to get out of his bunny slippers." I added, walking over to Roderich and kissing him on the cheek. "That's so adorable!" Hungary shouted, startling both of us. Blushing, I went to start breakfast.

Dream or reality (part two)
"What happened?" Roderich asked as he ran into the room. "W-water..." Prussia gasped. Instantly, I dashed to the kitchen to get him some water. Prussia slowly sipped the water and asked for a cup for the little yellow bird that accompanies him. Upon getting the bird some water, Prussia had recovered enough to tell us what happened. "The other day, I read about an ancient building that was full of treasure and difficult to find," he said "So I decided to go search for it. It turns out, that the whole thing was a complete lie! I eventually lost any idea of where I was, and by the time I started to recognise where I was, I arrived here." Amazed at what I had just heard, I could only stare in awe. Roderich, however, was not impressed. "I don't believe one bit of that story." he said, turning away from Prussia. "Roderich, please don't let his past get in the way of the truth! I know Gilbert can be a total jerk sometimes, but look at him! He's clearly been through a lot during the time he was out there!" I said, trying not to sound too defensive. "You're right. I shouldn't be focusing on the past right now." Roderich said. "Do you need anything else?" he asked. "Maybe a bit of food...please." Prussia replied. We both stared in shock at him. Did he really just say 'please'? Nodding, I went to make him a sandwich. "Eat until you're full!" I said, handing him the sandwich and sitting a small bowl of birdseed on the table for the bird. "Thanks!" Prussia said, happily taking the sandwich and eating it. After finishing the sandwich, Prussia got to his feet and said "Thanks for everything!" before turning to Austria. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for what I put you two through." he said. Roderich could tell that he meant it and said "I forgive you, but don't mess up again." Prussia then said good bye as he headed for the door. "Maybe good deeds really can change people." I thought out loud. "I guess I'll go to bed now. Goodnight, Roderich." I said. "Goodnight, Mateus. Sleep well." he replied as I headed to my room.

Dream or Reality? (part one)
Was last night all just a dream? Was this all just an illusion created by my mind to make me believe everything was real, then crush me down with the bitter coldness of reality? "There's only one way to find out..." I thought to myself as I opened my eyes. The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was Roderich sitting in a chair at the side of my bed. "So it wasn't an illusion..." I thought out loud. "Hm? What wasn't an illusion?" Roderich asked upon hearing what I said. "Good morning, Roderich. I'll explain after we've had breakfast and I've woke up a bit more." I said as I got out of bed and prepared myself for the day. When I arrived in the kitchen, I noticed breakfast was already made: fancy crepes with strawberry filling and a cup of tea for each of us! Roderich saw how surprised I was that breakfast was already made and said "I thought that since you bought dinner, the least I could do is make breakfast.". I smiled and thanked him for making such a wonderful meal as we sat down to eat. After breakfast, Roderich asked me "So, what did you think was an illusion earlier?". "Well, to be honest, all of this. Being a country, having friends that were countries, meeting you... Basically, everything that's happened over the last few days involving me being a country." I said. Roderich merely nodded his head as if to say "Go on". "Well, after what you said last night, I was worried that I'd wake up back in my own house and be forced to continue living life as a human, which would have been really depressing." I said as I started to wash the dishes. Upon hearing that, Roderich got up from his chair, hugged me, and said "You have nothing to worry about. We're both countries and we're both real.". After saying that, he headed for the living room and started to play a calming version of Beethoven's Ode to Joy. After finishing the dishes, I heard a knock at the door. "Can't we even have our first day as a couple in peace?" I asked as I answered the door. There, standing at the doorstep, was America. "Palamecia?" he asked. "Hello, America. What brings you to Roderich's house so early?" I asked. "I just stopped by to visit. Why are you at Austria's house?" America responded, clearly surprised to see me here. "Oh? No one told you that we're allies yet?" I said and before I knew it, America was hugging me. "We're also a couple." I said, trying to get the country off of me. "Oh. My bad. Sorry, Austria!" America said as he backed away nervously. "Well, I guess I'll be going." he said as he ran out the door. "Ugh! First Denmark, then America! Why do these countries think they can just hug me without warning?" I wondered out loud as I sat down in an armchair. "Oh well, atleast it wasn't Prussia, Hungary, or Iceland!" I added. The rest of the day went by peacefully until evening. After dinner, Prussia arrived at the door. "Gilbert, what do you wa--?" I nearly asked when I noticed something different about him, namely the fact that he could barely stand up! "Oh my gosh! Roderich, Prussia is hurt bad!" I shouted. Prussia might get on my nerves most of the time, but what was important is that he needed help!

Austria and Palamecia: Grand Alliance!
After I got back to Roderich's house, I remembered that I haven't had anything to eat yet, so I decided to go grocery shopping. I took Roderich with me incase Hungary, Iceland, or even Prussia decided to show up. While there, we bought some steak, potatoes, butter, ice cream, bread, milk, and a cake. "It seems that checkout area is the least congested." Roderich said, pointing to checkout number three. It turns out that the person right behind us was Emerald. "Good evening, Mateus!" she said. "Is this your boyfriend?" she asked, pointing to Roderich. Both me and Roderich were instantly blushing. "Emerald, it's not like that. We're just friends!" I said in defence. "Oh, well why are your hands so close?" she asked. To my embarassment, my hand was about an inch away from Roderich's hand! "I didn't even notice that!" I said, my face now as red as a beet. I set all the things we bought onto the counter to get checked out and dashed for the door when everything was paid for. Once we were back at Roderich's, I told him about Emerald as I prepared dinner: steak and baked potatoes. I explained that she can be a bit like she's in her own little world sometimes and thankfully, he understood. When dinner was cooked, Roderich turned on a CD of classical music. "Roderich, don't you feel that music is a little bit...um...romantic?" I asked. "Oh, sorry." he responded, blushing as he turned the music back off. Dinner was silent, other than the clanging silverware. When we were finished, I washed the dishes and got ready for bed. "Going to sleep?" Roderich asked me. "Yeah, it's been a long day." I responded. "Okay, but I have something to tell you first." he replied. "Oh? Well, what is it?" I asked. "Well, I... I l-like you, Palamecia..." he said, blushing deeply. "I-I like you too, Roderich." I responded, blushing redder than I did at the grocery store. "Well, g-goodnight!" I said as I headed for my room. "Good night, Mateus." he replied.
This Way to the House of Austria! (part 2)
"Very well. I'll stay for a while, but I still feel as though I should be apologizing to Hungary..." I said, feeling upset and responsible for their disagreement. "Apologize? For what? You didn't do anything wrong!" Roderich said "Besides, she might hit you with that frying pan.". "Frying pan?" I wondered out loud. "Yes, a frying pan. It may be absurd to hear, but she defended me from Prussia countless times with that pan." he responded. "Oh... How about a new topic?" I asked, trying to distract us both from the previous incident. "I think that would be best." he replied, but before I could respond, there was a knock at the door. "Roderich! Open the door!" I heard Elizaveta's voice shout. Curious to see what was going on, I followed him to the door. When he opened it, Hungary and Iceland were standing there. "Roderich, I've moved on! Iceland and I will have our first dinner tonight!" she said. I could tell this was tearing him up on the inside because he walked to the piano and started playing a piece I haven't heard with all the fury of a natural disaster. "What right do you have doing this to him?! It's me you should be trying to hurt, not Roderich! I hardly even know him, but I already consider him a friend!" I said in his defence. "You're right, I should be trying to hurt you!" she said back, hitting me with a frying pan and rendering me unconscious. When I regained consciousness, Roderich was in another room and I could hear him crying slightly. I walked over to him and tried to comfort him, but he said "That's not why I'm crying. It's because you said you consider me a friend already!". "I see..." I said, and then I had an idea. "Roderich, I think it would be best if we became allies. I can tell this is only going to get worse, so if we form an alliance we should be able to take care of problems quicker than by working individually!" I said. "I agree, but don't you have your own country to worry about?" he replied. I laughed and explained that with how advanced Palamecian technology is, I could make a clone that people would believe to be myself that was just as intelligent. He agreed and we shook hands on the plan. "Allies." we both said at the same time. Shortly after that, I went back to my house, packed what I needed, cloned myself and went back to Roderich's house.

This Way to the House of Austria! (part 1)
This morning, I woke up to a call of "Like, rise and shine, Mateus!". When I opened the door, I discovered it was my friend Feliks. "Why do people have to bug me as soon as I wake up?" I asked, not needing an answer. "I don't, like, know." Feliks said even though I told him no answer was necessary. "But like, congratulations on like becoming a country and stuff!" he said, much to my shock. How could a normal person possibly know I was a country? Unless... "H-how did you know that?!" I asked him. "I'm like, a country too!" he said, confirming my hunch. "I'm, like, Poland!" he quickly added. "Wow!" I said "Well, I'm going to go take a walk, so see you later." I said as I headed for town. I eventually came across a sign that read "This way to the house of Austria!" and had an arrow pointing right. I decided I'd follow the signs to see if it was a trap or not. After a while, I ended up at a mansion with one last sign that read "Welcome to the house of Austria!". It seemed quite suspicious to me, so I rang the doorbell telepathically from a distance... No trap doors opened, no explosions happened, the only thing that happened was what needed to: the doorbell rang. I walked to the door and when it opened, I was greeted by Roderich himself! "Hello, Roderich!" I said "What's with all the signs?". "Signs?" he asked, and then saw the sign in front of his house. Before anything else could happen, I heard a weird laugh that sounded like "Kesesese" and was greeted by none other than Prussia, accompanied once more by a small, yellow bird. "Haha! It worked!" he said "Now I have two victims today!". "Victims?!" I said. "In other words, he's going to seize our vital regions." Roderich said. Instantly understanding what he meant, I put up an invisible barrier around the mansion and blushed heavily. "Kesesese!" he laughed--just seconds before running straight into the barrier! Seconds later, Elizaveta--the girl who followed Sweden and Finland yesterday--showed up, saw the unconscious Prussia, and instantly understood. I lowered the barrier for her to get to Roderich and watched as she stepped carelessly onto Prussia as she walked to greet Roderich. "Hello, Hungary!" he said, and then I remembered that Austria and Hungary were once allies, which also explained why she was always so happy to see him. "You two are...married?" I asked them. "We were, but even after the divorce we're still good friends!" Elizaveta said as she looked at Roderich with a dreamy expression on her face. "Well, do you mind if I stay for a while?" I asked. "I'm fine--" Roderich began to reply but was cut off by Elizaveta. "One rule: No flirting with Roderich! Understood?". "You're still really attached to him, aren't you?" I asked. "Elizaveta! What has gotten into you lately?!" Roderich asked her, clearly embarrassed. "Even after he saved both of us from Prussia and you still don't trust him?" he added. "Fine! Take his side! I see how it is!" Elizaveta shouted as she ran out the door crying. "Maybe I should leave too..." I said, clearly embarrassed. "No, you came all this way! You should stay for a while." Roderich said in response.

Enter: Piano Master Austria!
This morning, I woke up to a knock on my front door. "More countries?" I complained out loud before going to the door. When I opened the door, I saw my best friend Emerald standing there. "Good morning, Mateus!" she said cheerfully. "Emerald?! What brings you here?" I asked, shocked to see that she was awake so early. "I've come to borrow a bit of flour to bake some bread." she said. "Oh. Well, in any case, come inside!" I said as I went to the cupboard to get the flour. "I didn't know you liked hamburgers so well, Mateus!" she said, motioning to the fifteen wrappers left behind. "I don't... A bunch of random people dropped by and they had hamburgers for dinner." I said. "I had a seafood salad." I added, motioning to the fridge. Knowing that Emerald can sometimes drop things, I measured the flour into the measuring cup, then put it into a plastic container with a lid. "Thank you, Mateus!" she said. "No problem." I responded as she headed out the door. After eating a left over scone, I decided to walk around town and see what was happening. I was remembering the dream I had and was suddenly in the mood for classical music. I headed down to the concert hall, payed for my ticket (which was a front row seat), and sat down. The gentleman playing the piano was wearing a long, navy blue coat which extended just past the top of his boots. Like many of the other people I met yesterday, he had a hair curl too, and he wore glasses and a jabot. I sat in awe as he played the piano flawlessly, classic after classic. Then I heard a voice. "You must be Palamecia." it said. I looked around the room and upon seeing that we were the only two there, replied timidly. "Y-yes, I am Palamecia." I said. He finished performing the song he was playing, Pachelbel's Canon in D Major, if memory serves correctly, got down from the stage and said "My name is Roderich Edelstein and I represent the country of Austria." he said in a formal tone. "N-nice to meet you, Roderich. Or should I call you Austria?" I asked. "Either is fine by me." he replied. "Follow me." he added shortly after. He lead me to the to a place called the World Café, and we were just about to enter when a young lady ran out the door. "Roderich!" she called before hugging him. "Hello, Elizaveta." he replied "This is Mateus.". I wondered how he knew my first name, but as he introduced me, I hid behind him. "Hey! You better not be flirting with Roderich!" Elizaveta warned. Just then, Sweden and Finland walked past and the next thing I knew, she was following them. "Well then, after you." Roderich said, opening the door for me. I thanked him shyly and walked into the café. There, at the counter, was England from yesterday! "Hey Austria! Hello, Palamecia!" he shouted above the conversations going on and waved. "Hello England!" I said and waved back before taking a seat. "Ooh! It looks like Austria has a boyfriend!" I heard a voice tease. He was platinum blonde with red eyes and he would have been pretty intimidating if not for the bird on his head. He kept making insults until I muttered a spell that made him see ghosts instead of people. He ran out the door screaming and I laughed. "You did that?!" Roderich asked, amazed "You scared off Prussia?!". "Yes, I made him see ghosts" I responded. Eventually, we had a sandwich and a cup of coffee each and discussed things ranging from art and music to the how he raised North Italy as a child. After we finished lunch, we took our seperate paths and went back to our own houses. That night, I took a few minutes to take notes about today's encounter and drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

Meet the Nordics!
The rest of my first day as a country went well, though I must admit I was surprised when Canada's polar bear cub spoke! "Who are you?" said the bear, who's name was Kumajiro. Canada said "I'm Canada, your owner." and the little bear said no more. America bought hamburgers for dinner, to which I passed on, instead eating a seafood salad. After dinner, France kept snickering, and when I asked what was so funny, he shouted "Pillow fight!" and hit me in the stomach with a hidden pillow. For atleast the next fifteen minutes, the room was filled with flying pillows, which were thankfully feather free. As it was getting late, the other countries said good-bye and departed, leaving me all alone again...or so I thought. As I was drifting off to sleep, I heard a few different voices. "Are you sure this is the right place, Denmark?" one voice asked. "They better not flirt with m'wife." I heard another say. Soon after, there was a knocking at my door. I rushed to see who it was and there stood five people. The one closest to the entry had an ax with him, another had what appeared to be a puffin with a pink bowtie, and a third had a hair curl that was...floating? "Hey, new country!" said the one with the ax. "My name is Palamecia, thank you very much!" I said, trying to sound fearless, when in truth, the sight of these men had me a bit nervous, especially the one with the ax! "Oh. I'm Denmark!" he said, and before I could protest, I was being smothered by his coat as he greeted me with a bear hug. Shocked by this, I tried to shove him away, but with my lack of muscle, my attempts were in vain. However, the one with the puffin said "Denmark, I don't think he really cares for bear hugs." and at that, Denmark let go of me and appologised. "Thank you." I said to the one with the puffin. "Don't mention it! I'm Iceland, there's Norway, and then Sweden and Finland!" he said, pointing out each country. "Finland here is m'wife." Sweden stated as Finland blushed. "The five of us together are the Nordic nations!" Denmark explained as he helped himself to one of the five extra hamburgers. "Okay, but I was just getting ready to sleep!" I said. "Oh well, after the last ten countries left, I was getting kind of lonely anyways." I said before recounting the day's events and to my great surprise, even Denmark--mighty, ax-carrying, manly Denmark--shuddered in fear upon the mere name of Russia. After that, the Nordics merely chatted amongst themselves and eventually, they all left. I finally went to sleep and that night, I had a dream that I was playing the piano.

Welcome to the world!
"Hello, my name is Palamecia and I am the newest country." ...That is what I said to ten other countries this morning... This new life is...interesting, to say the most. I'm still not sure how I became a country but all I do know is that this morning, I woke up to a new stage in my life. As my eyes opened from my rest, I noticed that there was somebody really close to my face, and I didn't know who this person was! He was tall, wearing a tan-ish coat and a long scarf, he had purple eyes and a hair color that somewhat reminded me of wheat. He seemed really friendly, but I wasn't in the mood for chit-chat as soon as I woke up, so I growled "I don't know who you are, but if you don't get out of my face--!". At that point he stood up, walked in front of my bed, and started chanting something that sounded like "Kol kol kol..."! I was afraid for my life, so I ran out the door...and into yet another person! "Ack! Watch where you're going, you git!" he shouted as three--no, four more people came into view! Aggrivated, I got to my feet and shouted "Who in the name of Ultima are you all and WHAT are you doing in my house?!". Only one person spoke after that, a man in a bomber jacket with glasses and a single hair sticking out from the rest of his hair. "I'm America, the person you bumped into was England, that's France, there's China, and finally, Russia is in your room!" he said with a grin. "Oh, well who's that?" I said, pointing at another person who was holding what appeared to be a polar bear cub. "Ah, you mean Canada!" said the one called France. "So why ARE you all here?" I asked. "We heard that you was a new country and decided to tell you what you are and introduce ourselves!" said a voice from behind me, instantly making me unnerved. I turned around and saw Russia, and that's all I remember because I fainted... When I woke up, England had already made breakfast. "Sorry for yelling like that at you all, but I was startled to see people in my house because I live alone." I said, taking a bite out of a breakfast pastry which America called scones. I chewed the pastry a few times, swallowed, and said "This is one of the most delicious foods I have ever eaten!". I think France was shocked the most, because he was as pale as a ghost! "France, is something wrong?" I asked. "Everyone else seems to hate my cooking." England said. "You're the first country to say you liked my food!". I looked at everyone else and they confirmed it with a nod. After breakfast, four more people arrived, two of which I assumed were brothers, both sporting hair curls. The other two looked quite intimidating. "Hello, newcomers." I said, trying to be as polite as possible. One of the two that I assumed as brothers said "I'm North Italy, that's Germany, there's Japan, and this is my brother South Italy!" he said. "Do you like pasta?" he added shortly after introducing the other three. "It's fine, but I'll pass on the tomato sauce." I said, much to the shock of the other. Eventually, they said that I have to be called by the name of my country, Palamecia. I suppose I could get used to life as a country, but I know it's not going to be instant...

Let the madness begin!
Okay then! This is the first official post (the one with comment rules didn't count as an official post, in my opinion) of the blog celebrating the wonderful Roderich Edelstein! (Austria's human name, for those who don't know! For those who do, have a turnip!) Let's start things off right with the Austria Cheer!
Roderich! Roderich! He's my man! If I can't have him, no one can! Yaaaaaay, Roderich! (Note: If you wish to try this cheer, replace "my" with "Mateus's" and "I" with "he". Otherwise, the kittens will get you! XP)
Also, when I have nothing to do, I imagine myself as a character for the Empire of Palamecia from FFII spending time with Roderich, hence the "AustriaXPalamecia" part of the URL! So if you see something like "Today me and Austria went to buy a gift for Latvia's birthday!", that's a figment of me living in an ideal world... Ack! Speaking of which, I need to make him lunch! If you'll excuse me, I have a plate of mashed turnips to make for my beloved Roderich! *runs to kitchen*

Warning: Contains intense rambling about my undying love of Austria from Hetalia!
Well, let me just say welcome to my blog where I talk about pretty much nothing except Austria from Hetalia! X3 Umm... Three rules for commenting:
1. Austria is mine! (Except for copyright, of course!)
2. Only I can call him "Roddykins"! (I rarely will, but still!)
3. Use common sense in your comments, please and thanks!
See? I don't ask for much except that you use common sense and let me be happy with Roddykins! Now that we got this post out of the way, we shall move forward in my ramblings about Austria! X3
